On August 11, 2006, carrying a cargo of 2.4 million litres of bunker fuel in 10 sealed tanks, M/V Solar I sank about 30 kilometres southwest of Guimaras Island in the Philippines and leaked approximately 200,000 litres of oil in the five days since it sank.
